Manchester City Loves Bingo
More high profile football players seem to be joining the bingo leagues.
David Wheater and Cristiano Ronaldo were the first in the news to admit to enjoying a few games of bingo on the weekends. The contagion doesn't end there though, as now no less than Sven Goran Eriksson and his Manchester City football team seem to be getting into the game of bingo too.
Originally reported by the Sun, a source has said that Sven hosts bingo games and quiz sessions on Friday evenings to entertain the footballers. It seems that Sven hopes to take advantage of the already proven benefits of bingo for the football players: increased multi-tasking ability as well as brain stimulation. The multi-tasking is very relevant to the football stars, as constant communication and passing are a large part of the dynamic of their career choice. No matter his motivation though, bingo has yet again proven to be an ace choice of entertainment for all manner of peoples.
Sven Goran Eriksson has been a bingo player his entire life and it's not hard to imagine why. Whether you play in a club or in private sessions, the social environment is hard to beat, with just a hint of friendly competition. Some play for the jackpots to be sure, but money is definitely not a motivator for these star players. Perhaps yelling "BINGO" is on par with scoring a major league goal. Either way, these pro footballers are hooked!
